Europe Digs In Its Heels When It Comes To Offshoring, Study Finds

According to Forrester Research , Continental European countries, unlike the U.S. and the U.K., are reluctant to outsource operations to countries such as India. Very few large-scale offshore deals were signed in the region, and increase in the adoption of this trend is doubtful.

Continental European companies prefer a service provider that has a local presence. These companies expect service providers to implement their business practices, deliver from a local facility, and interact in the local language. Leading Indian outsourcing companies such as Infosys Technologies have set up facilities in Europe for offering services in proximity to European customers.
